Psycholinguistics

this posting is my assigment of psycholinguistics course. This is the analysis of a child's activities. We have to pick a child 2-3 years old then record the child when playing, eating and watching TV. Then, we analyze their own language. But I just post the analysis because the video's size is too big. :D
I hope that my group's analysis will help readers who learn this too (or maybe get assigment like this). Hopefully, It helps ^_^

ANALYSIS TRANSCRIPT

According to our observation , we get conclusion that :
1. The child can not pronounce properly. But sometimes he can.
2. The child can not make long sentence yet. The child already understand what he says is.
3. The child produced high pitch with loudly voice and repeat twice when he wanted to tell us what surrounded his, like what he saw and held.
4. According to our observation with videos, he also produced rising voice when he asked question.
5. This child pronounces “s” as “c” , for example in number (1, 2, 17)
6. The child’s language is influenced by his caretakers. For example in number 5, he said “papang as papan.” We think that it is influenced by his parents who are his caretakers and they are Makassarnese. We know that Makassarnese has characteristic when they pronounce words that has “n” in the final sounds. They add “g” after “n” so it produces sound “ng”.
7. The child made wrong order for example in number 11. He said “agi nayi” but actually it is “naik lagi.” We think that is a request based to the situation at the time we recorded him.
8. The child can pronounce properly sometimes, but the meaning is actually not same as our vocabulary. We can see in number 6 and 18.
